This year’s budget will be one of upheaval, cuts and big changes – many of which will have a direct impact on your clients.
But in amongst it all will be some significant implications for SMSFs.
After the dust has settled, I will take you through them and what they mean for your firm and for SMSF trustees.
And the elephant in the room – DIV 296.
The legislation has been passed but the substance of the act, the specific regulations and how they will be implemented, is still to come out.
Time is running out for the Government with asset valuations needing to be set by 30 June 2026. There is tax depending on it.
